Who We Are

The Naija Marxists is a political organisation of revolutionary socialists rooted in the Nigerian working class. We ground our analysis in historical materialism and Marxist-Leninist theory, applying it concretely to the conditions of Nigeria and the broader African continent.

We understand Nigerian capitalism not as an aberration but as the local expression of a global system of exploitation. Imperialism, in its contemporary financial and technological forms, continues to extract value from Nigerian workers and peasants. Our task is to build the political organisation capable of leading the struggle against it.

We are internationalists. We stand in solidarity with workers and oppressed peoples everywhere, and we recognise that the liberation of Nigeria is inseparable from the liberation of the African continent and the international working class.

  • Historical Materialism We analyse society through the lens of class struggle and the material conditions of production.
  • Internationalism Nigerian liberation is bound up with the liberation of the African continent and the global working class.
  • Workers' Power Political and economic power must pass to the organised working class, not to a new elite.
  • Revolutionary Organisation Change requires disciplined organisation, political education, and mass engagement.
  • Anti-Imperialism We oppose all forms of imperialist domination: economic, military, and technological.
